With Graham Platner out of the Maine Senate race, Democrats scramble to find a replacement

Maine Democrats are moving quickly to replace Graham Platner as their U.S. Senate nominee after he announced he was withdrawing from the race following a sexual assault allegation, which he denies. Because the withdrawal came after the primary, the party cannot simply award the nomination to the runner-up.
