With Guest Philip Ralph

Chicken Soap for the Soul with Elisabeth Dermot Walsh and Special Guest Philip Ralph On this week’s episode of Chicken Soap for the Soul, we are honoured to be joined by the immensely talented writer (and recovering actor) Philip Ralph, who wrote no less than 73 episodes of Doctors in the 19 years he worked on the show, winning numerous Soap and RTS Awards along the way. Elisabeth and Philip talk about tensing up in front of the camera, what set Doctors apart, the crisis in the TV industry and the problem with Magical Thinking. Phil’s play DEEP CUT, about the death of Private Cheryl James at the Deep Cut barracks in Surrey, received rave reviews and was adapted as a play for Radio 4.
