Witt Jr. Delivers Clutch Homer | Kansas City Royals News

Bobby Witt Jr. delivered a clutch three-run homer in the fifth inning to seal a 5-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, helping the Royals wrap up the series and boost their playoff chances. Witt Jr., now hitting .282 with 18 homers, stayed focused on timing his fastball approach — and it paid off big time. The Royals got an early lead on a throwing error, then added insurance with Carter Jensen’s solo shot. Arizona clawed back with Arenado’s homer and Marte’s RBI, but the Royals’ bullpen held strong, stranding runners to preserve the win. Despite falling short of a sweep, the team showed grit after losing the previous two games by narrow margins. With standout performances from Witt Jr., Jensen, and veteran Salvador Perez setting franchise records, the Royals head to Boston with momentum — and Witt Jr. is ready to keep swinging.
