Witt Jr. Powers Royals to Victory | Kansas City Royals News

Bobby Witt Jr. delivered a game-changing three-run homer in the fifth to break a tie and spark a Royals win, capping off a fiery nine-game homestand where rookie Carter Jensen nearly tied the club’s rookie HR record with his 23rd blast. Daniel Lynch IV pitched solidly, holding opponents to two runs over five innings while finally nailing his first-inning shutout, and the bullpen locked it down scoreless with Craig Kimbrel and Nate Pearson closing it out for Pearson’s fourth save. The Royals now take a well-earned day off before hitting the road for a nine-game trip starting this weekend against the Boston Red Sox.
