Witt Out, Royals Reeling | Kansas City Royals News

Kansas City Royals’ star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. is sidelined on the injured list with lower back tightness, retroactive to July 21st — a major blow for a team already reeling from pitcher Stephen Kolek’s forearm injury. Witt, who’s been lighting up the league with a .279/.350/.450 slash line, 13 homers, 30 steals, and a 4.9 WAR (6th in MLB), is now sidelined as the Royals call up Andrew Velazquez to fill the void. His absence leaves a huge gap in offense, defense, and leadership — and fans are hoping he returns soon. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
