Witt Returns as Royals Eye Boost | Kansas City Royals News

Bobby Witt Jr. is set to return to the Kansas City Royals lineup for their next homestand after recovering from lower back tightness, a setback that sidelined him since July 21. Before his injury, he was crushing it with a .279 average, 13 homers, 39 RBIs, and a league-leading 30 stolen bases. The team prioritized his full recovery, holding off activation to ensure he’s 100% — especially with an off day coming up. His return is huge: he’s a game-changer with speed and power, and his absence has hurt the offense. Meanwhile, center fielder Kyle Isbel, recovering from a foot injury, could also be back soon after a rehab assignment. The Royals are hoping both players’ returns will give them a major boost.
