Twaalf jaar na de allereerste keer, komt in 2027 het WK Beachvolleybal weer naar Nederland. Het toernooi zal in ieder geval Apeldoorn, Den Haag en Rotterdam aandoen en daar komt hoogstwaarschijnlijk nog een vierde speelstad bij.
