願意了解另一個生命，是生命與生命之間，最真誠與善意的表現。當我們在聽別人說的話時，不管是接受、討厭或拒絕他，那是我們的選擇，沒有人可以強迫我們必須改變什麼，但是一定要問自己：「我有沒有中肯的去了解對方？他為什麼會這樣？」。只有站在對方的因緣，充分、完整的了解對方：為何這樣想、這樣做？我們才能平心的說：我不認同、我反對，或我支持。這是具有人文素質的表現，也是開展人生的關鍵。
