Woman In Hacksaw A

Originally Aired: June 3, 1938The Lone Ranger #835, "Woman In Hacksaw A," finds two irresponsible Civil War veterans, Hacksaw Hastings and Bolivar Bates, in trouble once again. Hacksaw boasts about the fortune he and Bolivar earned collecting taxes in Las Palmas County while sitting in Pete Greer's Acme Restaurant in Bensonville. His bragging catches the attention of waitress Aggie McGuire and Bart Sidney, and when Pete Greer slaps Aggie for chatting with customers instead of working, Hacksaw rushes to her defense. The confrontation quickly escalates into a violent brawl that leaves the restaurant wrecked.The Lone Ranger intervenes just in time to help Hacksaw and Aggie escape before things get worse, warning Hacksaw to stay out of trouble. However, trouble follows them as Pete Greer rides out to the cabin where Bolivar is staying, demanding payment for the extensive damages to his establishment. With Hacksaw accused of running off with Aggie and owing a hundred dollars in damages, Bolivar must decide how to handle the situation while his partner remains mysteriously absent.
