“Everyone is searching for connection—but what happens when that search becomes messy, painful and impossible to control?”At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026, Martin Colton reconnects with Emmy-nominated playwright Ren McAslan and performer Hannah Strauss to discuss their darkly comic, confessional one-woman show, *Woman Seeking Cuddles*.The play follows Harper, who discovers that a previous sexual encounter was unknowingly with her biological sperm-donor father. From that moment, shame, grief and reckless desire collide as she begins a complicated and defiant search for love.Set against a modern landscape of dating apps, polyamory, shifting boundaries and kink acronyms, *Woman Seeking Cuddles* asks why—in a culture seemingly obsessed with connection—it can still be so difficult to feel truly held.Martin speaks with Ren and Hannah about developing such a sensitive story, balancing darkness with comedy and creating the trust required to bring Harper’s raw and unflinchingly honest journey to the stage.Ren and Hannah previously appeared on Episode 533 of *The Martin Talk Show* during the Edinburgh Fringe Preview Series.
