Woman Stabbed 55 Times After Moving In With Boyfriend

Rachelle Brewsaugh was 50 years old and starting a fresh chapter in Hamilton, Ohio, renovating a home on Parrish Avenue. But on October 11, 2022, she was found stabbed 55 times, and her longtime boyfriend Toby L. Madden was the one who called 911 in a panic. Madden claimed strangers had been in the house and tried to point blame elsewhere, but detectives say the physical evidence told a different story, including signs the knife had been cleaned and blood had been washed away. As the case moved to trial in Butler County, prosecutors highlighted Madden’s erratic behavior and the moment he made a damaging statement in court in front of family, including their daughter McKayla Madden.
