Based off a real portrait painter that actually painted Sitting Bull's portrait in the late 1800's, and the book that was written about her, Woman Walks ahead came and went with not a moment's notice, and absolutely tanked at the box office. But with a couple of heavy-hitters like Jessica Chastain and Sam Rockwell at the lead, it was sure to bring something to to the table.
