Dr. Jones-Gailani explores the shaping of identity by the Ba’ath party in Iraq and the redefining of identity by Iraqi women, many of whom faced persecution in Iraq as members of ethno-religious minorities. Dr. Nadia Jones-Gailani is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Religious Studies and the Department of History at Central European University now based in Vienna, Austria.
