As a Hispanic woman, she is very appreciative for the opportunity to have served her community as an instructor in the University of California system, through her work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and ultimately, by building her own consulting practice. She finds great joy in working with similarly dedicated environmental professionals and is proud of her firm's recognitions including the Governor’s Economic and Environmental Leadership Award, Minority Business Development Agency 2012 Green Environmental Consulting Firm, and California Air Resources Board Climate Action Leader. She received her MA and BA from UCLA and is the mother of two accomplished daughters, Sarah and Katherine, and grandmother to Kenneth (11), Campbell Claire (3), and Mary Grace (1).
