Women Talking Review, Makeup & Hairstylist Guild Awards, & Netflix Recommends! - Ep. 178

We continue our Best Picture Nominees series with Women Talking! This film is directed by Sarah Polley and stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, & Jessie Buckley among others. The film is based on the book of the same name, and is about women who are sexually assaulted in a religious colony in 2010 and have to wrestle with the decision to leave, do nothing, or stay and fight. We talk about what we liked and didn't like about the film (including the sepia tone filter the whole movie is shot in) and its chances at the Academy Awards in March.
