WOMEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Minnesota West returns to summit

BROWNWOOD, Texas — The Minnesota West Community & Technical College women’s basketball team is back on top. The Bluejays on Saturday, March 14 beat Region XIII rival Anoka-Ramsey, 51-41, in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III championship game at Brownwood Coliseum. Minnesota West has now won two of the past three national titles, with Rochester Community & Technical College sandwiched in between. The Bluejays finished with a 26-5 record, ending the season on a 15-game winning streak. Anoka-Ramsey finished with a 24-6 record. Minnesota West won, in part, thanks to having more depth.
