Ruma Devi – Coming from an orthodox and deprived background, single-handedly formed the self-help group and on a very nominal budget in her fight for equality for women artisans. She was honored with India's highest civilian award for women by the Ministry of Women and Child Development 'Nari Shakti Puraskar' presented by The President of India- Sh. Ramnath Kovind on 8th March 2019. She was invited as a speaker at Harvard University.
