Women’s Health Week; Pay Equity; and Under 40 Activists Making Noise

from CWA Hour of Power · host Communications Workers of America

We celebrated Women’s health week and discussed the importance of women specific health issues and the need for its prioritization. We spotlighted Lisa Wright from the Southern Poverty Law Center for her activism efforts and work for pay equity. Two members from the Bird Union joined us to talk about their organizing campaign and the findings of their pay equity report at the Audubon society. We wrapped up our show with CWA’s own Damini Melvin, CBTU under 40 committee chair, and he gave us information on the upcoming CBTU convention and how the under 40 activists are making noise and making changes!
