Women’s Winter wrap around

This episode recaps the inaugural 2026 NCAA Women’s National Wrestling Championship where McKendree State claimed the first-ever team title, with Iowa finishing as runner-up, and highlights the growth and top programs in collegiate women’s wrestling. It also explains ESPN’s new Women’s Sports Sundays primetime slot—why it was created, what leagues and sports it aims to showcase, and hopes for broad, inclusive coverage of women’s athletics. Finally, the show covers the big fight news: pioneers Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano are coming out of retirement for the bout that should’ve happened over a decade ago, promoted under MVP and airing on Netflix.
