We hear a talk given by Andy Love about aerobatics. Andy is a pilot and instructor with a passion for aerobatics, both flying them and the history of this medium of flying. He’s also an airshow display pilot, a warbird and classics pilot, a volunteer with The Vintage Aviator Collection, and a member of the team behind Warbirds Over Wanaka.Andy talks about the New Zealand Aerobatic Club and the various competitions that he is involved with organising and competing in. He also talks about the aerobatic competition scene around he world, and he gives a fascinating insight into the history of aerobatics and how various manoeuvres used in combat, competitions and airshow displays came about.
