Words of Encouragement from One of Yeshua’s Chief Disciples

Peter, a simple fisherman from Galilee, may well be the second most important person in the New Testament next to Yeshua, Himself! Despite Peter’s simple beginnings, the Lord recognized a leadership quality in him which made the Lord choose him to not only receive “the keys of the kingdom of heaven,” but also to “take care of the sheep” when He was gone. In this portion of Peter’s first letter to many of the suffering Jewish believers of that day, he displays the spiritual anointing that the Lord placed upon him to lead those sheep, words from which we can all still benefit today.
