Work begins on Rocky statue's permanent place atop Art Museum steps

From the bottom to the top, Rocky is permanently claiming his spot on the Art Museum steps. Construction on an underground foundation for the statue will begin this Friday, Sept. 11, to prepare for the permanent installation of the City’s Rocky statue at the top of the steps. If you're looking for Rocky, you'll still be able to see him, but it will be behind barricades until the end of September. The steps will remain open, but access to the top of the steps will be temporarily closed during construction. The whole project should take about two weeks.
