Hello, it is January 20th. And there we are celebrating one of the King's birthday, Dr. Martin King's birthday. Today we're going to talk about fitness.
Our fitness journey is where we want our fitness journey. It's about to be a workout. It's important in the pair to work out. To get our rest of the choices to move in, to get our heart pumping, flow and blood to our body.
After eating all the water out of our body, all about internal organs, everything that we need to function properly on a daily basis. Now we're in a time working out as fun as it is in the summertime, and you can go for a walk in the summertime, you can go jog and go hiking. In the wintertime, a lot of times, like, for fun, I get out of the bed. It's so cozy to be there and to be able to lay in your bed, and I have to do anything for the day, especially if you don't have to work.
But I'm here to just know, we got to work out and get in your blood, flow and your heart pumping. Sweating all those toxins and things from your body is important year round. I think about working out sometimes as internal cleanse, because you're moving, you're sweating, you're getting rid of toxins, you're burning off that excess fat. And you are decreasing your chance of catching, or not catching, but developing a pathology.
This wintertime requires an extra little edge. Not just for me, but for a lot of folks who work out in the wintertime, you know, wintertime, it requires you to have a little extra willpower in the edge. To be able to get out of that bed and say, I'm going to work out to get out of my body to the test, I'm going to put myself under some strenuous activity, so I can be able to use this to my best of my benefit throughout life. We got none of us I guarantee.
And I live for living forever. All of us are going to go one day or another, but I think it's good to have certain behavior patterns in order to... Live a healthy and beautiful life. Working in the house, but you see folks all the time that you feel like, you know, some of the illnesses or pathologies could have been more regulated, more paid attention to it, and people would be in a certain position that they are in now.
And we don't all take as much thought and put much effort into our health as we do sometimes fashion, we do clothes, and we're on TV and we're talking about this life. And I think that sometimes we take the life that we have for granted, that we have functionality of our movement, of our tools, and our extremities, and we have to move in motion. We sometimes take advantage of this because we are so used to having it. But then you start developing elements and things like that, like you see in the hospital, like your cardiovascular system is out there, effectively, sometimes it starts backing up, and then the fluid will go into your legs, and then you'll have poor circulation, so you'll start to have poor circulation in your legs, and sometimes the extremities.
And if there's a confusion, the tissue and the connections become necrotic, and it may have been removed. And this is not something that you can always avoid, but sometimes you pull up more effort into your maintenance of your body like you do your car, will be a lot better off. I'm African American male, and within the family, some people have high blood pressure or diabetes, and a lot of the times, you know, this thing can be regulated a little bit better. We don't have to succumb to everything that we see that we are able to touch and able to have, because the cake is there, or the dessert is there, or the fatty foods are there, doesn't mean that we have to indulge.
And it's so good sometimes. It's so good tasting that we are over-indulge. And, you know, I've been on my fitness journey for up to five, six years, and I just think it's very important to that you, that you don't want to be mindful of your health and what you're doing, which you're doing with your health. Sometimes, I slip up a half-ings that I shouldn't have, so instead of, you know, continuing with that, you know, that even I sometimes feel better about it, like I know better than actually behaving this thing.
It causes me to work a little bit harder in the gym and know that I have to exercise a little bit more willpower if I want to live the best life I have the best possible health that I could possibly have. And not saying that I mean I won't develop an element or illness, you know, that's not really up to me to decide, but I'm trying to do preventative measures in order to prolong and to have a better quality of life. And I think that's most important, you know, to me, and I appreciate the amount of work that I'm able to hold onto these core foundations and values, because this is what I need in order to be able to function and do my work and give the best possible care that I can give to my patients. You know, I think that as a health people about it, I would want to practice what I preach.
I want the patients to know that I am living by what I'm telling them to do and granted my specialty, my specialty. You know, the whole system works together, especially the heart and the lungs. It's like a lot of times I'm in the hospital, I'll see folks come in and they'll have an aquatic issue, which is directly affects our system and vice versa. So, you know, just knowing that gives me a little bit more insight because I know before and after.
Like, I know what happens when you take care of your body and you know, you eat right and not put as many tacos and things to your body. You are able to live a little bit longer. You know, God, well, and then we'll just eat everything. You know, don't take care of our body properly, exercise, don't go for a walk.
Like, you know, it is so much relief and relaxation that I get from physical fitness. And I don't think that people understand the, not the ramifications of understanding the benefits of taking care of your body in a sensual way. You know, it just makes you feel better. It helps me with just being mentally, you know, more aware and fit.
In my mentality, if something's bothering me, I'm having a bad day. I know that I can go and I can do some exercises. I go to the gym and I'll put some good music on. I'll just be in my element doing what I love to do.
And it'll feel good. I'll be burning all calories and fat as well as stress or any other thing that's plaguing or my mind. And, you know, it feels good. It feels good to know that I can get somewhere to control my life to a certain extent, you know, what I put in it.
And energy and things that I put out and to make sure that I live in life that I could be living now. Like I said before, there's no, um, I've seen people come into the hospital to work out all the time and, you know, sometimes they just develop ailments and they can't control some pathologies or, uh, idio-craptic. We need to know where they come from or some more congenital that was theirs and spur. So it's not always something we can do in order to, you know, manipulate our body or to make sure that we live in the best life.
But working out and giving us, and having physical fitness gives a little edge as far as, you know, how good we feel, how good our mental is. What we can give out to the world, what we can give out, you know, to our patients in the medical field, um, and I think it just feels great. So if you aren't working out, you know, a few times a week, um, I was just giving it a try, you know, like I said, in a wintertime, more so likely we want to relax and chill and be on our comfort of our better or our home. But in such, you know, gratification when you are able to get out and do something, you know, and even if you don't have to work that day, but like I went out and I got some, um, excising in today and I feel like I feel amazing, you know, so that's some of the benefits of, you know, working out.
So just be more mindful of what you put into our body and put our body a little bit more pressure and a little bit more, you know, streamers activity. So if in case there was ever a term in time, we needed to have our firefight, you know, reaction to able to, you know, get about the situation and quick fast and hurry, we are more inclined to be able to do that because our body will be working with us. You know, our body will have the muscles needed in order to, you know, let us run to our top speed or be able to, you know, pull us up and pick ourselves up from any situation that's not conducive to our lives. And, you know, people don't think about this because it's not time to go on motion about our lives.
We don't always run to the situation that requires us to actually our fight our flight mechanism, but, you know, it's there for a reason, you know, um, physical activity is there for a reason, you know, we, we have so much more processed foods and things that we did before, a lot of much more added sugar and a lot more, you know, uh, you know, fat and things that to our food, processed food with sugar, with salt, and what it's so preserving. So, you know, a lot of this food is, you know, the companies are always looking out for our best benefit, it's still looking out for their best benefit. It's looking to look out for our health and make sure that we are doing what we could do in order to, you know, have a healthy living life, especially for our family, for ourselves, for our kids, for our friends, you know, for our families. You know, for our families, like, you know, they want to see us around, we want to see them around also.
So, you know, sometimes since I, you know, um, do have a pretty good healthy lifestyle, I try to convey that to my friends and my family, you know, it's not always received that well. Um, but, you know, just seeing, let them see me doing what I do and keep myself healthy and keep my body in motion is sometimes a catalyst, you know, for them to work harder also, you know. So, I appreciate you guys tuning in to the rest of the story and fitness. I think speak about it, have a fitness, you know, podcast and in a little while, and it feels good to be able to get back to it.
I love some reviews, like me now, you guys, like think about it, anything I can, you know, take out. Um, my approach, you know, any of those things are helpful, and you know, me developing a better mentality and speaking ability to give you guys, you know, what to have a confession with you guys about your respiratory health and fitness. So, once again, it's my story health and fitness and I will talk to you guys soon. Bye.
