Working 9-5 Whilst Building an Online Business with Lauren (@podscapeproduction)

from Your Girl Yaz · host Yaz Hilsdon

This week we are joined by Lauren from Podscape Production. Lauren is an Irish girlie who is a podcast manager and producer for online business owners. She has a degree in marketing and is currently working in HR in a corporate role while building her dream business on the side. She takes us back to where the vision for her business came from and the importance of travel in her life which stems from her parents. She lived in Singapore as a child and this has definitely aided her travel bug whilst also visiting the United States during her studies. Lauren followed the path where she finished school, went to university and got a corporate job. During this time, the pandemic showed her how there was so much more to life than working on someone else’s time and the epiphany came where freedom to be on your own time is so important. This is currently what she is working towards and has been for neatly a year now. She has a very creative flair and decided to take the leap into the world of podcasting by doing an online course. There are definitely blocks and boundaries that come with running your own business like comparison, mindset struggles, the comfort and security we associate with the corporate world but gaining freedom back into her life is what’s most important. Lauren talks about the struggles of working full time while building her empire and she is ready to stop the comparison game and focus on her own path. Everyone’s journey is different and it’s important to focus on your path and not compare yourself to others.
