Working Girl

Put on your power suit and tease that hair—this week, Amanda Stephens and Missy Washam are tackling the 1988 classic Working Girl, the film that made us all believe in big dreams and big hair. With Melanie Griffith, Harrison Ford, and Sigourney Weaver leading the way, this 80s favorite reminds us that sometimes, the best ideas come from the most unexpected places. Joining the sisters for this POWER episode is special guest Amanda Thompson, a true modern-day working girl who balances her corporate career with running her own skincare company, Kick Peach Beauty. Missy met Amanda through work, and the two quickly connected over their shared love of leadership, hard work, and, of course, great movies. Together, the trio breaks down the film’s timeless themes, hilarious moments, and the unforgettable soundtrack that still has us humming Let the River Run. So grab your Walkman, lace up those white sneakers, and join the Reel Sisters as they revisit this story of ambition, deception, and that perfect 80s office aesthetic.
