In Acts 6:1–7, the early church faced a problem that every healthy church must learn to navigate: how do we faithfully care for people while keeping the mission of proclaiming the gospel at the center?As the church grew, internal conflict, physical needs, and organizational challenges threatened to distract the apostles from prayer and the ministry of the Word. God provided a wise solution through the appointment of faithful servants who could care for the needs of the church while the apostles remained devoted to preaching and teaching.In this sermon, “Working Wisely,” we’ll see three kinds of problems the church must always be prepared to address, the God-given structure that helps solve them, and the result of God’s people working together according to His design: a church that remains faithfully on mission.
