The quarterfinals continued with a fierce battle at Miami Stadium in the city of Miami Gardens, Florida between England and Norway. The first goal came from Norway in the 36th minute courtesy of Andreas Schjelderup giving Norway a one to nothing lead. England would respond in the 47th minute with a goal scored by Jude Bellingham tying the game at one going into halftime. The remainder of the game tested the will and heart of both teams as they would have to settle the score in overtime. In the 93rd minute, England’s Jude Bellingham would score his second goal of the game giving England the lead and the win two to one. England will play the winner of the Argentina/Switzerland match in the semifinals on July 15th in Atlanta, Georgia. The soccer world is mourning the loss of South African midfielder Jayden Adams. At this time, no cause of death has been given. Recently, Adams was a member of the South African men’s national team that was eliminated by Canada in the knockout stage of the round of 32. He is survived by his girlfriend and a five-year old daughter. Adams was only 25 years of age.
