World Cup Update July 4th, 2026

The round of 16 began on a hot and humid fourth of July at Houston Stadium in the city of Houston, Texas with Morocco shutting out Canada three to nothing. The first half saw both teams struggling on offense, but the second half would be all Morocco. Morocco’s Azzedine Ounahi (AZZA-DEEN) (OOH-NA-HEE) scored goals in the 50th and 82nd minutes of the game giving Morocco a two to nothing lead. Morocco would seal the deal in the 98th minute of the game when Soufiane Rahimi scored a goal giving Morocco a three to nothing victory. Morocco will face the winner of the Paraguay/France/ match in the quarterfinals on July 9th in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
