World Dairy Expo Changes and Everything to Know

Attending World Dairy Expo or want to know what is changing for this year's event? This episode's industry expert is World Dairy Expo Board of Directors President Bill Hageman. He talks to us about this year's show, the many opportunities available to attendees and a brief look ahead at what is coming in 2027. Today's "Legacy Farmer" segment spotlights Mark Frost, of Withee, Wisconsin, alongside his wife, Cherrie. Together, they have been milking cows for 45 years and currently milk 50 cows in their tiestall barn. What the Frosts love most about dairy farming is the opportunity to be their own bosses. It is a seven-day-a-week job and it is not always easy, but they value working at their own pace and setting their own schedule. In today's "So You Think You Had a Bad Day" segment, we hear about a 3 a.m. wake-up call that led to a search for steers that had made their way out of the farm gate and into the yard. Upcoming Dairy Industry Events • September 29: Soy for cattle, West Point, Neb. • September 29-October 2: World Dairy Expo, Madison, Wis. • October 3: Dairy goat artificial insemination training program • October 15-17: 4-H dairy tour, St. Paul, Minn.
