World Drumming "Create Your Own Drum Ensemble" Project
from Mrs. Heise's Podcast Page · host Janelle Heise
This is a short and sweet example of another World Drumming class project. After learning several of Will Schmid's World Music Drumming ensembles, students worked in groups to create one of their own. Some of the requirements were to use at least three different families of instruments, to have several layers of rhythm happening at the same time (polyrhythms), and to include complementary rhythms. This group of students was in the 2009-2010 2nd marking period, Day 1, Period 5 class, and they did a great job!
