World Health Day comes up every 7th April and this year, the emphasis is on maternal and child health with the theme, Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures. This calls for government and community involvement in prevention of maternal and newborn death and to prioritize women's long term health and well-being.This episode enlightens on the efforts by the Nigerian government in alignment with this theme, with reference to other countries, as well as how to take advantage of the various plans put in place to ensure reduction of maternal and child mortality rates.
