World Radio Day

from African Dialogue · host Channel Africa

The United Nations has encouraged the world to celebrate the traditional sports that connect us to our cultural heritage, the grassroots sports that anchor us within our communities, and the inspiring stories that challenge gender stereotypes and cover, equally, both men’s and women’s sports events. Now among the objectives of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) as a public broadcaster is to provide, in its public broadcasting services, radio and television programming that informs, educates and entertains and to be responsive to audience needs, including the needs of the deaf and the blind and account on how to meet those needs. To discuss this further we are joined in our studio by: • Nada Wotshela, Group Executive for Radio at the SABC
