World War 2: Episode 68: June 25th - 30th, 1945

This episode centers around the correspondence from an U.S. Army Captain in the 489th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 7th Armored Division, located in Germany to his wife in Three Oaks, Michigan. The Battalion really found out about redeployment when it was alerted to transfer all men with the adjusted service rating score of 74 and below to medium artillery battalions of the XXI Corps. This afternoon 1st Sergeant Dykes and myself made a trip of the area trying to get eggs for breakfast.  No luck, maybe will be able to get some tomorrow.
