Worship - Epic, pt. 1

We long to be part of something grand--something epic. The Bible draws us into God's epic story of healing humankind, and the story of the Exodus--from slavery to the Promised Land--is one of those stories. God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and the rest of the law, including detailed plans for a tabernacle. This tabernacle would represent the presence of God to the people of Israel. It gave them direction. In following the tabernacle, Israel joined God's epic story. We don't have a physical tabernacle, but we have been invited to follow as well. Our example is Jesus. When the Church fails to embrace the pattern of Jesus, we lead people away from God's epic story. Which story are you embracing?
