Worship Is A Verb
from Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy Hosted by cstpb
The central message of this sermon is that worship is not merely a feeling or an experience, but rather an active and intentional response to God's revelation. Worship involves declaring God's word and attributing ultimate worth to Him, recognizing that He is the only one deserving of worship. The teacher emphasizes that worship is not just about receiving blessings or experiencing emotions, but about responding to God's initiative in our lives, which begins with His revelation of Himself through creation, scripture, and ultimately through Jesus Christ. The sermon advances the belief that humans are created to respond to God, and that our true worship is a response to God's worthiness, not just our own feelings or experiences. The takeaway is that worship is not something we do for ourselves, but rather it is an act of obedience and surrender to God's will, which involves the whole person - heart, mind, body, and spirit.
