The star has been speculated to be the North Star, an angel, or even a celestial body like Planet X. However, Joseph clarifies that the true nature of the star remains unknown. He believes that God orchestrated this miraculous event so the magi, who were astrologers, would recognize it and know what to do. Interestingly, Joseph reveals that Jesus was already two years old when the magi found him. We also understand that the star was a supernatural manifestation that directed them to Jesus. The wise men recognized the significance of the star because they were well-trained in astrology, having studied under the Prophet Daniel.
