In this bonus episode Gary Mansfield speaks to Cathy Verney of the Worthing PAOTY (@thevenuewpaoty)The Worthing Portrait Artist of the Year will be an exciting evening of live portraiture.This year will see a limited number of 9 local portrait artists being offered the chance to create in public. Selected artists will each produce a portrait of one of 3 sitters over the course of an evening. The event will be open to the public. Sitters will be announced in due course.This not-to-be-missed event will be open to all. Members of the public will be able to observe the artists at work, and watch as portraits take shape before their eyes. The portraits will be judged by a panel, and a favourite selected along with two runners up. The sitters will also choose their favourite, a copy of which will be made for them to take home.The finalists’ portraits will be used for marketing and will be exhibited on the website and social media prior to the event.
