WOYM Ep 1: The Gang-Bashing of Kemi Badenoch & The Miseducation of Ayisha

In the debut episode of What’s On Your Mind, hosts Ekene Ezeji and Ayisha Osori dig into two layered conversations that dive into two fiery conversations that lit up Nigerian circles online and reveal how we see ourselves as Nigerians; at home and abroad. From the online gang-bashing of Kemi Badenoch, the Leader of the Conservative Party, UK, to Aisha’s reflections on her own “miseducation”, the hosts ask bold questions. How does our colonial history, education/miseducation, and collective memory still shape who we are today? The conversation is personal, provocative, and painfully honest; the kind that makes you stop and think about what it really means to be African, educated, and self-aware in a global world.   Tune in, think deeper, and maybe question your own hot takes.   Resources: https://africasacountry.com/2019/04/why-im-no-longer-talking-to-nigerians-about-race
