Writing and Books
from Podcast Radio Hour Hosted by BBC Radio 4 Extra
Laura Grimshaw and Isy Suttie present an aural library of podcasts about writing and books for your delectation. We speak to Laura Shavin about The Offcuts Drawer - the podcast where successful writers share the contents of their bottom drawer – the bits of writing they never finished, had rejected or they just like to hold on to for nostalgic reasons, which are finally brought to life on stage. We're joined by Robin Ince to discuss Bookshambles with Robin Ince and Josie Long, the podcast where books are the springboard into ludicrous and always passionate conversations about anything and everything. And we chat to Jess Phillips MP about her podcast Yours Sincerely about the power of letter writing. We listen into podcasts on the writing process, devour a selection of podcasts presenting the best in author interviews, and we flick through the best book recommendation podcasts including: Script Apart The Writing Life The Penguin Podcast Fun Kids Book Worms Radio 4's Book Club Red Hot Chilli Writers Turn Up For The Books from BBC Arts Radio 4's Open Book and A Good Read Literary Friction
