Writing, Recording And Self-Producing Music At Nineteen – Edwrds (Ep 210)

Nineteen year old Edwrds has been writing, recording and self-producing music since 2016. We recorded this interview in May 20, 2021 the day before his single Look was released. Edwrds' music is a blend of hip hop and rap that he playfully calls bipolar vibes. This is a reference to his personal struggles with mental wellness. His focus is to be a voice for those who feel they are not heard. He wants to let those people know that they're not alone. Topics we cover in this conversation include his latest single Look, his upcoming 2021 summer tour, and mental wellness. We also touch on his interests in making the world a better place, helping people in need, and serving his community of direct supporters. Edwrds has a process for digging deeper into himself through his music. It's a process that sometimes occurs while he's actively writing. He says the process has helped him become who he is as a person and music artist. Edwrds has already experienced ups and downs as a recording artist. I can only imagine the challenge of being a young music maker of his generation. Edwrds was kind enough to elaborate on his personal struggles with mental wellness. This is a topic I try to talk about often on this podcast. My hope is that by doing so we can help anyone suffering mental wellness challenges. We're in this together, as Edwrds reminds us.
