The fascination led him to an intensive research and eventually he released his first book named ‘Splendours of Royal Mysore’. Sampath discusses how Indian movies need to be more realistic when it comes to the adaptation of Historic figures and how history textbooks need to paint a wider picture of our past that is inclusive of the whole of India. He explains why our history is taught in the way it is and reveals some hidden stories of the Indian past that only a handful of us might be aware of. He explains who Veer Savarkar really was and introduces us to the heroics of this man. He elucidates on the ideological war between Gandhi & Savarkar and mentions the need of celebrating other freedom fighters as well.
