Wrongful Termination: Whatever Happened to the Gold Watch?

from Dr. Carole's Couch · host Dr. Carole Lieberman

Companies used to appreciate the hard work of their employees and reward their loyalty with a gold watch! Not so for United Airlines. They rewarded today's guest, James Trabucco, after two decades or so of hard work, with an unfounded termination! James kept being promoted into better and better positions for the company, such as Operations Manager, and relocated his family to work for United's locations around the world. One would think that, after 9/11, when two of United's planes were lost, they would have more appreciation and compassion for their employees. Fortunately, Mr. Trabucco has hired top attorney, Bradley Gage, to sue United for wrongful termination. Mr. Gage, will talk about this increasing trend of companies trying to use and discard employees, especially when their salary is higher than a less experienced employee's would be.
