In my eyes, the most exciting year for professional competitive longboarding. It was a question of time, on when these changes were finally going to be materialized. Changes were not of the liking of all competitors and viewers BUT I am confident that it was of the liking of most longboard heads around the world. We have seen a strong global movement towards a more classical approach of surfing longboards in the last 10 years give and take. Including more youngsters than ever taking on the art of longboard surfing to its roots. The WSL even got the "stamp of approval" of one of its most brash critics, longboard maestro and preservationist Joel Tudor. He showed this by participating in one of the WSL main events.I hope you enjoy our conversation.
