It was a shame to see Belinda Bencic and Kaja Muchova bow out, particularly the latter with an ankle injury. Jilly Teichman edges Vika in what I'm calling Match of the Year, but then I argue, what makes match of the year? And how can I be throwing that around in May? I talk about how we haven't had a good WTA Grand Slam final in quite some time, specifically since the 2020 USO Final, where Osaka beat Vika.
