WTF - w/Kevin A. Phillips - FreePeat Week-"AGAIN?"

from Z Z Archive 2014 · host Brain Injury Radio

THIS WEEK:  "Complaining is for the Ignorant" The Complaint Department is now CLOSED! There is a proverb that says...“Instead of complaining that the rose bush is full of thorns, be happy the thorn bush has roses.”  Did you know that studies have shown that complaining can be severely damaging to your health, productivity and life in general?  So why do we do it?  Sometimes it is just to vent, which is healthy, if done correctly.  Other times, we use complaints as a conversation starter but most often, we do it to validate our beliefs.   However, when we complain, we are simply reinforcing negative thoughts and so, the more we complain, the more negative energy around us we gain. Complaining may seem to be the easiest way to deal with the issue on hand; however, this habit will get us stuck in victim mode, which will irritate the people around us because we are making the choice to be irresponsible for our own behavior.  What can we do to break out of this habit?  Find out tonight with Kevin, who will share his thoughts about complaining, the impact of constant complaining on our well-being and those around us, tips to kick this habit to the curb, and how he decided to close the compliant department for good and live a FUNctional life!  It was Anthony D'Angelo who reminds us this:  "If you have time to whine and complain about something, then you have the time to do something about it."  Start tonight by tuning into WTF? Brain Injury Radio at 7:00 PST!
