WTOC+ | 12 years after his arrest, man accused of possessing child pornography walks free

from WTOC News

A man accused of possessing child pornography is now walking free, after spending over a decade in jail with no trial.   On January 3, 2025, Judge Lovett Bennett, Jr. released John Baillie from the Bulloch County jail on bond.   “If all the evidence is suppressed and there is no additional evidence that’s been proffered by the State, the Court does have the authority to go one step further and dismiss,” Bennett said in court on January 3rd.   WTOC Investigates' Shea Schrader breaks down her investigation into Baillie's release.
