Wunmi Adekanmbi Wunmi Adekanmbi immigrated 10 years ago from Nigeria where she was a post-secondary instructor and researcher, and led a youth empowerment non profit. Wunmi is passionate about people, information and solutions - in that order. She is a strategist and a connector. Her greatest motivation is creating coherent value streams across organizational functional units using a systems thinking approach. She strives to inspire confidence and intentionality in leadership, equip teams to execute from a big picture perspective, and harness community inter-dependencies. Wunmi is the Organizer and host of Immigrant Techies Alberta, a tech enthusiast group for skilled immigrants who are in or are interested in pivoting to tech careers and startups. Muhammad Ali Abid I love working with teams to create human-centred solutions for their challenging problems. Over the past 10 years, I have lived in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta and have worked as a clinician, administrator, improvement consultant and now a healthcare designer. I am never satisfied with the status quo, constantly curious, comfortable with uncertainty and embrace polarities. It is no surprise that I am passionate about creativity and bringing innovation to organizations. When I am not on the job, I am an active board member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders. I am also busy being a dad of two toddlers, spin-class, binging on podcasts and Netflix. I am also a social entrepreneur working to tackle elderly loneliness.
