WWE SummerSlam Feels Empty
from The Express with Bilal Vakani
SiriusXM Canada Host/Producer/Operator Bilal Vakani and Second City’s Daniel Shehori preview WWE SummerSlam 2021. Despite some great promos between them it seems Universal Champion Roman Reigns will most likely hold on to the gold against John Cena. Raw Women's Champion Nikki A.S.H. vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat Match might be the last chance to save the Rhea Ripley character. It is the battle of the spears as WWE Champion Bobby Lashley faces Goldberg in what we hope is a short match without a new champion. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos take on Rey & Dominik Mysterio. It seems the only logical progression is to have the Mysteiro’s lose and breakup either on the night or in the weeks to follow. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks is still happening and we are hoping Bianca brings some backup. Edge vs. Seth Rollins in a match that really should have drawn more on their history but still could give us two wrestlers that should main event in the near future. United States Champion Sheamus vs. Damian Priest should mark a title change that solidified Priest as a mid-carder on the rise. Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal hopefully with less silliness and just less in general. Alexa Bliss vs. Eva Marie should not be in doubt but while we are talking about it: they need to change Alexa’s gimmick ASAP! Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Omos vs. RK-Bro in the biggest toss up of the night that could end in a RKO for Riddle either way.
