WWF Summerslam (August 1996)
from 1 Year in Wrestling Hosted by Matt & Chris
Live from Cleveland, Ohio - The Gund Arena - 17,000 strong! Great PPV here that is known for its main event of HBK v Vader that included Shawn Michaels going "off script" and throwing a hissyfit in the ring. Also a great sleeper match of Owen Hart v Savio Vega (which included the use of his controversial cast)...Sid is OVER huge in his match with the Bulldog...Mankind and Undertaker take themselves to the bowels of the building in the infamous Boiler Room Brawl... Farooq wears a nerf headpiece and is strangely Greek in his presentation...Ahmed is hard to understand while his discusses his ruptured kidney...Jake Roberts takes on both Jerry Lawler AND his demons while a young, recently signed Mark Henry watches on at the commentary table. Great show here!
