from The Americhicks · host The Americhicks
Welcome to the Americhicks WWII Project podcast. Kim Monson is your host. Richard "Dick" Kline grew up in Huron, Ohio. He enlisted in 1942 just before Christmas. Dick took part in Operation Market Garden. Dick and his closest friend, 20 year old Jacob Wingard setup an observation point. Jacob had need to look out the window of the windmill, when he suddenly turned around and declared to Dick, "I'm dead. I'm dead". Jacob had been shot by a German sniper. Later, Dick took part in the Battle of the Bulge. __________________________________________________ Copyright 2019: The Americhicks W/Kim Monson Visit us at www.americhicks.com To have someone contact you about advertising on the radio program, the podcast, or the Americhicks website visit:www.americhicks.com/contact and fill out the form.
